Physical Wellbeing and Symptoms Checklist

“Cancer as a chronic disease.”

We have developed a checklist for early stage breast cancer survivors to guide health care professionals to recognize that each cancer survivor is different and needs personalized care. Breast cancer in a large number of patients behaves as a chronic disease. As such, education about their disease is critical to empower them to deal with acute and chronic problems occurring during and after completion of treatments such as surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, and hormone therapy.

Health care professionals should look at all aspects of wellbeing such as the physical, psychological, social and spiritual wellbeing of survivors and appropriate referrals to the team for any problems in any domains.

To improve the patient’s experience along every step of the cancer journey, we want to palliate any symptoms, prevent recurrence, and promote health.

Please consult the checklist on the left column.
